Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated intern currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
As an intern with District Construction Corp., you will have the opportunity to work closely with our project manager and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction and development. The successful candidate will bring the following qualities and skills:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in construction
- Management, architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive computer knowledge, including proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), internet usage, and email.
- Demonstrated interest in workplace safety programs and the ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Key responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the project manager to review cost, schedule, safety, quality, and the overall completion of construction projects.
- Spend dedicated time at job sites to acquire hands-on knowledge and receive additional training in construction and development.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of progress reports, re-projects, and other necessary documentation required for construction projects.
- Contribute to the development of project estimates, pricing, and schedules.
- Assist in creating and maintaining schedules and budgets to support project execution.
- Aid in the preparation and maintenance of cash flows and monthly billing.
- Contribute to the preparation and obtaining of change orders for assigned projects.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of the health of a project
- Proactively identify potential project-related problems and bring forward possible solutions to the responsible party.

Compensation and Benefits: Compensation and benefits play a pivotal role in your choice of employer, and at Carmel Partners, we are committed to investing in your experience. As an intern, you can expect a competitive compensation package with a base range of $18 to $20 per hour.
