Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused foreman to join our dynamic team at District Construction Corporation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, ensuring a commitment to safety, quality, and efficient project execution. As a foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing on-site operations and fostering effective communication between field staff, project managers, and superintendents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Take charge of on-site safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 is required). Facilitate safety training, with district construction covering associated costs.
  • Communication: Establish effective communication channels with General Contractor (GC) field staff, District Construction Project Managers, and Superintendents. Compile and submit daily reports covering site personnel, construction activities, deliveries, equipment usage, safety concerns, weather conditions, schedule updates, manpower requests, and jobsite issues.
  • Schedule Adherence: Follow the provided GC schedule, requesting manpower through the superintendent and project manager channels. Provide week-by-week manpower lookaheads to ensure project continuity.
  • Measures and Representation: Attend and represent the District Construction Corporation in foreman measures. Collaborate with other trades’ foremen and GC field staff to resolve issues.
  • Materials Management: Assist in takeoffs and material ordering, maintaining control over inventory. Plan ahead for material requirements and coordinate stocking on the jobsite
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure the work meets established standards. Proactively address and report any issues affecting production or workflow to the superintendent and project manager.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Study and read drawings; adapt to change orders; complete work; and create new drawings. Pay attention to the details and coordination drawings.
  • Production Focus: Drive crew production, promptly addressing any problems or unskilled workers. Report daily project progress and production rates.
  • Prioritization: Focus on priorities assigned by the superintendent or project manager.

Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Supplemental Pay Types: Bonus Pay.
