Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced assistant superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of our construction projects. With a focus on leadership, this role involves overseeing labor management, evaluating performance, and collaborating with various teams to achieve project success.
Key responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Uphold and enforce safety protocols across all jobsites to ensure a secure working environment.
- Labor Management: Take charge of hiring, firing, and managing labor resources on all jobsites. Collaborate with foremen to evaluate performance, adjust the workforce as required, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Foreman Collaboration: Work closely with foremen to assess performance, review daily reports, and address any challenges promptly. Provide training and support to enhance their skills.
- Production Oversight: Assume responsibility for production on jobsites, with foremen performing and reporting on production checks. Collaborate with operations to estimate field changes quickly.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular walks on jobsites to ensure and maintain high-quality standards.
- Client Satisfaction: Prioritize client satisfaction by addressing their needs, attending meetings, and coordinating effectively to meet project expectations.
- Project Mobilization: Assist in mobilizing projects of varying sizes, ensuring a smooth transition from planning to execution.
- Coordination and meetings: Attend meetings related to new work or requested changes; collaborate with operations and field teams to coordinate work with other trades, minimizing rework.
Training and Development:
Team Training: Train foremen and lead men to enhance their skills and ensure a high level of competence within the team.
